City of Greensboro Water Resources Department - Public Relations, Marketing, and Social Media Internship

Company Description

The Business Division of Water Resources is responsible for providing management for the financial resources and operations of the department.

Intern Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include assisting the Public Education Coordinator with the division marketing strategy to include advertising and strategic marketing. This position is also responsible for developing a social media strategy and assisting with the implementation of the strategy. Other general administrative duties related to marketing and social media may be assigned. Evening and weekend work may be required for special events

Please note: all Fellows will attend the Leonard Kaplan Leadership Institute at the Center for Creative Leadership on either June 11 & 12, 2018 or June 18 & 19, 2018. If hired as an intern through the Fellows Program, you will attend one of the sessions in June.

Required Qualifications:

Current Junior or Senior
Marketing, advertising, graphics, or public relations major
Experience with social media analytics and logistics
Preferred Qualifications:

Graphic design experience

Work Environment

This position is located in the Kitchen Operations Building at 2602 S Elm Eugene St. The position will work closely with the Public Education Coordinator but must have the ability to work alone as needed on special projects.
