Greensboro Downtown Parks Inc. is a non-profit organization in partnership with the City of Greensboro, Center City Park and LeBauer Park. The mission of GDPI is to serve as the executive management of Greensboro’s downtown parks, focusing on public activation, maintenance, financial well-being and overall vitality.

Intern Responsibilities
Creates a solution for attracting young professionals to the downtown parks through our food and beverage options.
Acts as social media ambassador for Greensboro Downtown Parks in the aspect of marketing our food and beverage options.
Collaborates with our food and beverage partners to gather content for marketing their options.
Archives and publishes content through social media, blog posts, and newsletters.

Please note: all Fellows will attend the Leonard Kaplan Leadership Institute at the Center for Creative Leadership on either June 11 & 12, 2018 or June 18 & 19, 2018. If hired as an intern through the Fellows Program, you will attend one of the sessions in June.

U.S. Citizen or permanent resident.

These internship will be located in downtown Greensboro at 200 N. Davie Street Greensboro, NC 27401, Suite #101.
Intern is responsible for transportation to the office.

Required Qualifications:
Knowledge of current social media trends, excellent communication, creative writing, and organizational skills. 
Preferred Qualifications:
Photography skills preferred.

Work Environment
30% of work takes place in LeBauer Park and Center City Park.
70% of work takes place a collaborative office setting with Greensboro Downtown Parks located in the Greensboro Cultural Arts Building.
Additional Internship Perks
Work in a collaborative setting with friendly co-workers. This position provides the opportunity to network with many local organizations and gain experience in a range of skills including but not limited to non-profit management, marketing and programming. Interns will gain first-hand experience with the progressive trend of urban public spaces, place-making, and community engagement.
