Intern Responsibilities

The Arch MI Learning & Development (L&D) team creates, facilitates, and manages many of the learning opportunities for Arch MI employees to further develop themselves professionally and personally. Programs such as our leadership training program, Masters of Excellence business acumen program, and Onboarding are offered from L&D. Arch University, the corporate learning site for Arch Capital Ltd. Group, is also managed by our team and provides exposure to, and opportunities for collaboration amongst all Arch subsidiaries including Arch Insurance, Arch Reinsurance, Arch Global, and Arch MI.

The intern will be responsible for assisting with management of Arch University. Responsibilities such as driving campaigns to roll out new functionality to all of Arch Capital for the Arch University site, gathering resource content such as videos, webinars, blogs, articles, books, etc. to be housed within the resource channels, and working with the various subsidiaries to establish their individual site are some of the major activities planned.

Updating the branding on outdated training materials, and reorganizing the shared folder are other projects included. Depending on the candidate’s skills and experience, there may be online development projects assigned as well.

Pay Rate

Range: $18 - $20/hour
Hours/week

Average work week: 37.5-40 hours

Schedule

Monday-Friday. Hours may vary by department, but 8/8:30 - 5 pm daily

Start / End date flexible?

Start date firm, end date has a little flexibility. Interns must be able to complete all Fellows programming throughout the second week of August 2018.
Please note: all Fellows will attend the Leonard Kaplan Leadership Institute at the Center for Creative Leadership on either June 11 & 12, 2018 or June 18 & 19, 2018. If hired as an intern through the Fellows Program, you will attend one of the sessions in June.

Detail-oriented
Highly organized
Excellent communication skills
Proficient in Word and PPT
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience developing online training using authoring tools such as Articulate, Rise, GoAnimate, etc. is preferable.
