Intern Responsibilities

As a member of VF’s Corporate Communications team, you will play an integral role in bringing our 2018 communications strategies to life. This internship will give you hands-on experience working across a variety of communications functions, including internal communications, public relations, digital communications/social media, crisis communications and media relations.

How You Will Make a Difference:

Drive engagement on VF’s internal and external social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube and Yammer

Create and edit content across a variety of digital and print channels, including articles, social media content, presentations and videos

Help lead the editorial process by being an active participant in bi-weekly editorial meetings, pitching story ideas, writing, editing and posting stories, and working with a global team of writers on special projects

Assist with developing and executing global communications programs that reach our more than 65,000 associates

Partner with key internal functions to develop webpages, email messages, presentations and other content

Limited: VFC has some flexibility to start interns a bit earlier and end interns earlier or later depending on need. Must be able to complete all required Fellows Programming.
Please note: all Fellows will attend the Leonard Kaplan Leadership Institute at the Center for Creative Leadership on either June 11 & 12, 2018 or June 18 & 19, 2018. If hired as an intern through the Fellows Program, you will attend one of the sessions in June.

Required Qualifications:

Pursuing a Bachelor’s/Master’s/PH.d degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field

Exceptional writing, editing and oral communications skills with the ability to convey complex information in a clear, compelling way

Experience creating and publishing editorial content for web and social media platforms

Working knowledge of social media platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and other design tools

AP Style pro

Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced environment
