Intern Responsibilities

You will join the Front End of Innovation (FEI) Insights team, which is a new and exciting capability at VF! FEI is a fascinating space to work, and you will have the opportunity to influence future product and experience innovations by testing new ways to discover consumer and market unarticulated opportunities and create ideas. You will design and execute a learning plan that will put in practice many of the things that you are learning in school: design research, trend identification and ethnography. Your creativity will be very important to help us find innovative and compelling ways to present insights and ideas to business leaders to drive action. With a combination of passion and applied research expertise, you may be the creator of the next 100M USD idea for VF!!!   Bringing the insights to life through prototypes, summaries and presentations that are able to captivate the brand audience.

How You Will Make a Difference
-Consolidate existing insights and trends and connecting the dots in different ways to find new opportunities for product ideas
-Test new, low cost methods to discover consumer opportunities and ideas. For example: in-situ observation, product review summary, etc.
-Mine insights from existing social media platforms and create an innovative way to report the findings to the brand teams
-Generate a Newsletter with
-Design and execute a learning plan to generate hypothesis for innovation in the casual apparel space
-Use your Design abilities to generate multi-media/visual prototypes for the ideas and insights you generate
-Supporting a co-creation workshop for the Wrangler product team, thinking on innovative ways to present stimuli, helping bring to life the ideas visually during the workshop and generating an “idea book” as a final product

Limited: VFC has some flexibility to start interns a bit earlier and end interns earlier or later depending on need. Must be able to complete all required Fellows Programming.
Please note: all Fellows will attend the Leonard Kaplan Leadership Institute at the Center for Creative Leadership on either June 11 & 12, 2018 or June 18 & 19, 2018. If hired as an intern through the Fellows Program, you will attend one of the sessions in June.

Required Qualifications:

Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic or Industrial Design, with concentration on Design Research

MBA, with completed Bachelor’s degree in Sociology or Social Anthropology

Must be able to Travel by air and overnight, as required 10% amount of time.
