The Inclusion and Diversity Intern will be instrumental in providing assessments to our Employee Resource Groups, conducting research on I&D best practices/benchmarking strategies, and revamping the I&D internal and external websites.  We think that your ability to work on “real world” solutions will help propel your career in a way that you never thought possible!

How You Will Make a Difference:

VF’s Inclusion and Diversity team works to maximize workforce diversity, nurture a culture of workplace inclusion and to win in the multicultural marketplace. The I&D team partners with key business leaders and Human Resources partners to craft tailored strategies to intertwine I&D into VF’s business strategies to increase revenue and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
-Develop and present recommendation to Global Women’s Advisory Council on benefits that would attract and retain high potential talent and make VF an employer of choice for women around the world.
-Work to increase VF’s engagement around various communities of focus internally/externally and assist in identifying gaps in our completion of the Corporate Equality Index survey.
-Support the I&D team in developing a disability awareness and best practices strategy globally.
-Work collaboratively with other areas of HR to create tools and materials to support the adoption of practices and behaviors that improve a diverse and inclusive workforce.
-Promote a diverse and inclusive work environment, where diversity is viewed in the broadest sense - including age, ethnicity, gender, appearance, race, physical abilities, religion, social-economic background, political affiliation, sexual orientation, sexual identity, nationality, thinking styles and life experiences, and so forth.
-All other duties as assigned.

Limited: VFC has some flexibility to start interns a bit earlier and end interns earlier or later depending on need. Must be able to complete all required Fellows Programming.
Please note: all Fellows will attend the Leonard Kaplan Leadership Institute at the Center for Creative Leadership on either June 11 & 12, 2018 or June 18 & 19, 2018. If hired as an intern through the Fellows Program, you will attend one of the sessions in June.

Required Qualifications:

Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or advanced degree in business, workforce development or a related field

Strong analytical and quantitative abilities with excellent written and verbal communications

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

High sense of urgency. Effective self-management and project management ability.

Ability to participate within a multi-disciplinary team as well as acting autonomously as appropriate

Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements: Travel by air and overnight, as required 10% of the time. Lifting and/or bending 20 pounds of weight.
